PARTICULARS of the post of Second Assistant Analyst

in the Medical Department in the Colony of Hong Kong.

Candidate must be over 27 years of age.

Must be an Associate or Fellow of the Institute of Chemistry in branch K (analysis of food and drugs). The duties will consist of general analytical work, including the sampling of metals, etc.,

Will be under the orders of the Principal

Civil Dedical Officer. Should be unmarried.

Salary 360 rising to £420 yearly by two triennial increases of £30, together with a travelling allowance of thirty dollars (Max.) per month.

Free first class passage provided to Hong Kong by steamer other than mail, and from Hong Kong. at end of three years if conduct satisfactory and agreement terminated.

The person sent out must agree to serve for three years after which if the Government desire to retain his services he may be taken on to the permanent staff should there be a vacancy thereon. In case of his leaving of his own accord or an account of dismissal before the termination of his agreement, the passage money paid for the voyage to Hong Kong must be refunded. If taken on to the permanent and pensionable establishment his salary will be subject to a deduction of four per cent per annm towards the Widows and Orphans fun 1, and the right to a free return passage to England will be cancelled.
